It Aint Just Me Saying This…

I received an email the other day from one of the various marketing gurus I listen to that directly applied to Rule One.

This email started like this:

“Have you been spending weeks trying to learn as

much as you can about Internet marketing before

you actually GET STARTED?

You need to stop delaying your own success!

There are people ahead of you already earning

passive income because they seized the day and

got started!

YOU need to get started right now and you need

to get started the easiest and quickest way”!

This sound familiar?

I am not the only person going on about how important it is to just DO something. Even Nike thought it was a great marketing campaign. If so many people who make a lot of money keep saying the same thing there are only two possibilities. The first is that we are all telling fairy tales. The second is much more likely, we are all speaking the truth.

If successful people are telling you their secrets to success, why aren’t you listening? You are listening? Ok, then let me give you some practical examples of how to apply this. In fact, you can expect to see these things laid out put to use here. This is your chance to get a jump on me, TAKE IT!

If common wisdom says that you need to DO SOMETHING the question starts to become: do what?

Let’s say the what is going to be a blog. I know, such a reach for a blog about blogging. ;)

We have our free blog setup or have our blog script installed, so that obstacle is taken out of this equation… if you have not done that yet, you have the answer to what to do. ;) When you get done setting up your blog, come back here. Don’t worry, I’ll wait. After the blog itself is setup we need a topic. You need to pick something that you can prattle on about for hours on end, because since this is a blog, prattle is the business.

For the sake of this example, we are going to start an AdSense blog. We are going to start this blog because the data is something that certain members of our organization are proficient at and others are not. We can use our AdSense Blog to educate all our group member’s on the same information and not duplicate work and also to have a feedback system in place. Chances are, if you need this article, you do not have a group, so your blog will have to suit your purposes. Let’s say I had no organization and I was blogging for me. I would still use this blog as a place to keep all my personal learnings indexed and easy to search. The other reason to do AdSense is because it is a popular topic and one that is easily monetized. There are lot’s of products out there to sell that are AdSense related. Lot’s of people looking for the information and the tools. AdSense is a great thing to DO!

What I have done is picked a topic that can be monetized due to popularity and available products that it also just so happens i can get quality content for and as a side bonus, it will help on internal projects.

If you know about knitting, make a blog about knitting! There is always money to be made off things that interest people. If it interests you, it interests people. ;)

Edit: since this blog was started, we have since added Knit Free Patterns to the stable. Yes, I really do take my own advice. ;)

This is why we keep telling you to just DO SOMETHING! It really does not matter what you do, as long as you do it! And keep doing it and keep getting better at it!

Are you still here? Beat it and get to work until the next entry!
