State of the Blog

This blog has been off to a slow start. Sorry about that. It isn’t really a blog I had planned on producing, so it got squeezed into my schedule. I would blame the lameness on publishing on the Thanksgiving Holiday here in the US, just like I did in Search Engine Optimization but that would be dishonest. ;)

Truth is, this blog is a reach for me both in time and subject. Yes, I can do some really good work with blogs and I have more then a clue on how and why they work, but this is not my primary vehicle for Internet Marketing. This blog’s purpose for me is to make me stretch out and to also practice what I preach, but mainly, it is a place for me to put my blog knowledge down in text to share with my immediate peers and allies.

If you are reading any of this and are not in my allies list, be thankful! You are as close to getting private and proprietary information as you will ever get without stealing the information. ;)

If this blog starts to make a more commercial turn, i recommend you read carefully because the original purpose for this blog will still remain in effect.

Anyhow, sorry about the delays… they probably wont get much better. Chances are, mostly this blog will fill with lots of simple posts at a mostly random schedule much as they have been and the occasional longer winded theoretical type discussion. I will change this if I notice that there are a lot of outside travelers through here… maybe say something and let me know you are here. ;)

Bet you think right now I just said all this out of conscience. You lose. ;)

This post is representative on the Art of Blogging. Stop screaming at me for calling this drivel “art”, the heart attack isn’t worth it. ;) Not all art is good. Also, there is a wide variety of art forms. Comic books are art the same as the Mona Lisa is art. Don’t get me wrong, the Mona Lisa is Fine Art and has severe historical importance and Spiderman is not of this caliber. Here is the important part with that though: your average 8 year old would think that last statement was stupid. C’mon, who wants to see some old picture of a boring lady? Spidy kicks butt!

Art is in the eye of the beholder. Stan Lee is no DaVinci, but he is an artist and has great recognition from his work and even fame and fortune. He may even be remembered in the distant future as such. Mr Lee knows his art and knows his audience.

The Art of Blogging is the art form of putting your ideas down to text in a way that can be appreciated by other human beings. If you do this well, you can make good art. ;)

Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
