Edit Blog Settings
In WordPress MU, to Edit a blog’s configuration and change it’s setting, you click the “edit” link next to the blog name in the blog list in the admin. Once there you will have a form for all the settings. Below is how I set mine. I will only list the fields that actually get changed. If you can’t find a field name I either thought it was self explanatory or was left alone. If you do not understand something, do NOT mess with it! You can and will break your WordPress install by monkeying around in here. You have been warned and you are on your own.
Blogname: Art of Blogging
Blogdescription: How To Blog (and why)
Users Can Register: 1 (****NOTICE: “1″ means “yes” or “true” and “0″ means “no”.)
Default Post Edit Rows: 50 (this makes the edit window bigger)
Ping Sites: http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
Advanced Edit: 1 (this is to allow custom settings in the editor.)
Use Trackback: 1
Rich Editing: false (why it isn’t a 1 or a 0 I don’t know but it makes it so that the default editor is the HTML editor, not the Rich Text Editor… You probably want Rich Text… I do not.)
And the rest I left alone or are things like my email. Fact is though, the blogs do work right out of the box, so making these changes is not required… when in doubt, leave it alone!
I will update this as needed and explain things further as needed.
